F.A.Q.

(1.) Q: “What are your rates”?

A: I don’t have set rates because most jobs that I encounter are always different. Generally, I have two basic tiers of work: Application or Design and Application. For example; “Will I be painting your logo on your wall, or designing custom artwork for your space and then painting the design in your space”? There is a big difference in scope of work between these two requests, and the cost is reflective of the scope of work involved in executing the project.

(2.) Q: “How much does a mural cost”?

A: That is great question! In order to produce an estimate for the work requested, I will need to know a few key factors.

1. Will the artwork be an indoor or an outdoor project?

2. Size of the area to be painted. (Height x Length) = Total size

3. What is the surface would the artwork be painted on? ( Drywall, Brick, Cinderblock, or corrugated metal for example.)

(All of these surfaces are different and require different processes for application.)

4. What would you like to have painted? Will I be applying your logo or existing artwork to a surface, or would I be custom designing an image which would then be applied to a surface.

5. When will you need this project completed? (Some murals require design. Design is necessary for a

6. Will there be special circumstances such as late night working hours to avoid disruption of business. Will there be furniture or other materials/ obstructions that need to be moved before I can perform my work when I arrive on site? Has the surface been primed appropriately in preparation for the application of the final artwork?

(3.) Q: Can you provide an estimate for my project?

A: I am more than happy to meet and document the information listed above in order to produce an estimate, however I do ask for a $100 consultation fee to do so. This consultation fee will be deducted from the total cost of the job, providing I am hired to execute the job.

(4.) Q: “Can you donate this artwork to our organization or cause”?

A: If you are a nonprofit organization, or a charity organization, I am always open to speak with you about working together.
